Ann Mulcahy was ranked No. 5 on Forbes 2006 list of the world's most powerful women. She is one of the few women to run a top publicly traded company. She joined Xerox in 1976, holding positions in sales, human resource, customer operations, and market operations as she worked her way up to CEO in 2001 and chairman in 2002. She is reviving the company's competitive edge by adding consulting services to Xerox's offerings and introducing innovations in commercial color printing.
